Kristin Fisher is joining CNN in 2021. She will be the Space and Defense Correspondent. In her role as Space and Defence Correspondent for CNN, she is responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and the newly formed Space Force up until commercial space companies, and even the rise and development of space tourism. Kristin is the daughter of two NASA Astronauts. Kristin has grown up working in space, as well as covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. During that time she also covered two presidential impeachment trials as well as the 2020 presidential campaign, as well as two administration's efforts to contain the coronavirus pandemic. The president of the time Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan in a trip that was highly restricted. Prior to being hired by the channel in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade advancing in local TV news stations in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin's skills as a camerawoman has led her to create Field Mouse Films which specialized creating documentary-style films for corporate clients including Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. She currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and three year old daughter.
