Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for the role of Detective Diane Russell. Kim Delaney has been renowned as the character Detective Diane Russell on ABC's series NYPD Blue. Also, she was a part of the drama show All My Children Philly, CSI: Miami, and Army Wives. Delaney, the only daughter of a United Auto Workers senior executive and a domestic worker, was raised by her four siblings. While she had a childhood dream of becoming a journalist, it wasn't until high school that she began modeling. Following her move from New York City and gaining experiences as a commercial model at New York did she achieve the career as aspiring court reporters. She starred in 1981 as an innocent teen in All My Children. Delaney an actress in her early years in the 80s, has been featured in several films TV movies as well as dramas. Similar to her profession however, her private life has not been a success or happy one. She has been in the past accomplished actress battled alcoholism and had two marriages that failed. In 2005, the actress lost the custody of her son.
